Installation: White Noise
This installation was done as a part of my Senior Project at the University of Saint Francis. It combined aspects of my Pre Art Therapy degree with a concentration in ceramics to create an artwork that focused on the roles that making art can play in mental health.
White Noise consisted of a self-portrait sculpture, roughly half of life size, paired with a vase, also a self-portrait. Surrounding the portraits were 6 thrown and altered vases made to represent people and emotions that are directly affecting the well being of the center portraits.
White Noise was displayed in the Weatherhead Gallery at the University of Saint Francis as a part of the 2021 Student Exhibition, from April 5th, 2021 to April 30th, 2021. It was then displayed at the Downtown Branch of the Allen County Public Library as a part of the Student Highlights Exhibition following the exhibition at the University of Saint Francis.
